I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic isOpportunities and Challenges.
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness,wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question topresident Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup ofdespair, but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the2015 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time.How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercisingequipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots ofmodern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by theOlympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more peoplewill get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attractthem strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment,for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness ofenvironmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games givea unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youthwith the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so manyadvances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyoneshould use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have anyspecial meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2015 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift.Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying thelove given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captainis waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charminghis voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning,however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. Afterchewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the OlympicGames. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfortto others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, andeveryone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities andgive a big smile to challenges.

My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in theirold age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remainhealthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much fromlife. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmotheronce told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grandchildren to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy andhappy life just as they have.
Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on mybirthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I amnot complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I amunhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me withall their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life aswell.
I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty ofour country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want togo from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have adream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends!If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If Ican fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I wouldbe happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

Sometimes,I think my father was a philosopher,sometimes think he is aactivists,always set an example for his child ,do what a father should do.He isalways working hard to feed large family, he is always considerate to forgivehis naughty children,moreover he filial piety to the old person,to repayparents' brought up. In a word, he always so good.
Of course he's not a iron man,he also has a fragile, but he never loseself,and perseverance.What's more, when I meet with some troubles and want togive up, he always encourage me.I still remember what he told me "perseveranceovercomes almost everything.When you fall, perseverance tells you get up.Whenyou are defeated,perseverance tells you to try again .When you feel likequitting, perseverance doesn't let you".
Nowadays, I am an adults,and as a college student,I always unavoidablydepending on my father, I often call to my father to ask some questions,meanwhile I also want to know how are they recently I start my college lifefollowed with my fathers edification.Because of my dear father,I know howimportant to be myself.I have to be true to myself, because the only importantthing in life is what you do with the time on spend here in earth.So I'll alwaysbe optimistic and happy in the following time.Also,as my father told me,just beperseverance to do everything. 青春过于美好，于是我们尽情享乐，尽情挥霍。但生命也过于短暂，当我们老去的时候，回头翻看着时光，我们将发现，年轻没有留下脚印。于是，一股失落涌上心头，因为我们的生命之书缺少了完整的书页，我们无能为力，光阴的沉淀使我们不再年轻。朋友，难道我们不应该为自己年轻的书页留下些什么吗？哪怕只是浅浅的脚印？
事实上，我们可能尝试着为目标奋斗过。眼前的路，那样虚幻，那样黯淡。我们奋力前行，去触摸周围一切能带给我们现实与光明的东西，结果被撞得头破血流，摔得粉身碎骨。因为吝惜青春，所以，我们有时候会停止奋斗的脚步。于是，刚刚踏出的脚印又被我们磨平。
今天，当我再一次站到镜子前，发现自己，额头上的道道又变多了，眼睛里不再有儿童时代的那种纯真。我感到，我的青春已经逝去。脑海中又浮现那句话：“几乎没有人能感觉到青春正在逝去，而几乎所有人都能感觉到青春已经逝去。”
也许，我们还不明白自己该干什么，也许，我们以为明天会更好，也许我们相信会出现奇迹。于是，我们选择无谓的等待。可是，我们的青春，却没有时间等待那一天的到来，因为我们的青春只剩下今天。莎士比亚说过：“在时间的大钟上，只有两个字——现在。”
我们没有太多的时间可以等待。“不屑今天，等待明天，”的观望态度，会像一条肆无忌惮的蛀虫一样，吞噬我们的心灵，吞噬我们头脑中的时间紧迫感，蛀空我们谋求上进的灵魂。最 终留给我们一具空洞而毫无战斗力的躯壳。
纵然，前面的路会无比坎坷，可是，我们有理由相信自己能够战胜一切挫折，不是因为我们比别人伟大，而是因为我们比别人年轻。年轻，是我们最 大的资本！奋斗，是我们永恒的追求！

自古便有天行健，君子以自强不息!男儿不展风云志，空负天生八尺躯的教诲。每个人都应该有自己的理想，应该大胆的树立自己的理想。因为，在理想面前不分贵贱，理想面前人人平等。
理想是一个目标，也是一个过程。理想是我们根据自身的情况对未来事物的想象和期望。而不是空想的幻想的不切实际的。理想是我们为之奋斗的一个目标，而达到这个目标我们需要一个过程。这个过程或是一帆风顺，或满是艰辛。但不管怎样，我们都必须经历这个过程，体验这个过程。
过去，我总是不知道该怎样去奋斗，经常把时间用在一些不该用的地方。比如说：上课看小说看电影听音乐或是睡觉，基本上没有把时间用在学习上。随着时间的流逝，成长的醒悟，我明白了：理想不是空想和幻想。惟独根据实际情况，一步一个脚印，去努力，去实践，做好自己。定下自己近期的目标，才会有动力去实现自己的远大理想。而这样的人生才会充实，才会有意义。就算达不到自己的预期目标，但只要努力奋斗过，也就不会抱恨终身了。
人生的路也许太崎岖了，并不像童话里的那样：平坦一帆风顺。
于是，有的人选择了在回忆中度过，依恋昨天;而有的人却选择在梦幻中度过，幻想着明天的憧憬。几乎都忘了现实的存在。他们没有好好的把握住今天，为理想，付出实际的行动。所以，梦，终就是梦。
我们惟独好好的把握住今天，奋斗今天，才会离自己的梦想越来越近。
抓住了今天，就抓住了掌握获取知识的机会。
同学们，你们是否还在梦幻的理想中彷徨呢?
伟人之所以伟大，是因为他们有远大的理想。并且为自己的理想付出了超出凡人的努力，经历无数的坎坷却毫不退缩的前进，这一路的艰辛，风雨兼程，他们都走过来了。相信在这里的每一位老师和同学，都有一个共同的理念：不甘平庸与无能，追求成功与奋斗!

每个生命里都有对梦想的渴望。每个人都有自己努力的方式，不抱怨不诉苦，度过高三这最后的日子。借时光的手，暖一束花开，致流年过往的人和事，把时光定格在追梦的路上，搁浅在岁月的长河里，走过冬，走向春，并且永不谢幕地憧憬远方。
