覃金威是一名80后，个子不高，却韧劲十足，有着非常强的敬业心与责任感。2009年，他从湖南铁道职业技术学院毕业，进入中车株洲电力机车有限公司工作，历经13个春夏秋冬，从基层技术工成长做到车间班长，公司的模范党员。现在的他，总管班组70多名员工，承担着整个班组的质量管理工作。
坚定选择 感恩母校教诲
2009年，正值中车株洲电力机车有限公司争创百亿产值宏伟目标之际，公司急需大量人才支撑，而作为全国唯一主要面向轨道交通装备制造领域办学的湖南铁道职业技术学院与中车株洲电力机车有限公司只相隔一条马路，双方有着良好的校企合作基础和优势。随着校企合作不断走向深入，覃金威抓住这个良好的机遇，成功进入该公司工作。
