一般来说，鸡不会游泳。鸡属于陆禽，终身生活在陆地上，身上没有适应游泳的生理构造，且脚趾间没有蹼，划水没有推进力，外加鸡的尾脂腺不发达，羽毛容易被水打湿，通常情况下不具备游泳的能力。
抗寒力差、抵抗力弱、怕潮湿。鸡容易受到有害微生物的侵袭。如果鸡舍内潮湿，鸡粪会发酵产生有毒气体，使鸡容易得病。
体温高，发育快。一般鸡的体温在40.8-41.5℃之间，所以必须在冬暖夏凉、通风良好的环境中饲养。
易惊群。鸡胆子小，特别是雏鸡很容易惊群，轻者拥挤，生长发育受阻，重者相互践踏引起伤亡。

第九讲 反意疑问句与交际用语
（一）反意疑问句：又叫做附加疑问句，它表示提问人的看法，没有把握需要对方证实。
1. 构成：前一部分是一个陈述句，后一部分是一个简短的疑问句，两部分的人称时态保持一致。
2. 基本原则是：若前一部分为肯定，则后一部分为否定；若前一部分为否定，则后一部分为肯定。
对反意疑问问句的回答，不管提法如何，若事实是肯定的，就用yes; 事实是否定的，就用no。 第一部分是否定句，其盈余回答和汉语回答有区别：
Eg. You are going home, aren’t you? 你回家，是不是？
Yes, I am. 是的，我回家。 No, I’m not. 不，我不回家
There will be a film this evening, won’t there? 今晚有电影，是不是？
Yes, there is. 是的，今晚有电影。 No, there won’t. 不，今晚没有电影。
Mike can’t swim, can he? 麦克布会游泳，是吗？
Yes, he can. 不，他会游泳。No, he can’t. 不，今晚没有电影。
You haven’t met my brother, have you? 你没有见过我兄弟， 是吗？
Yes, I have. 不， 我见过。 No, I haven’t. 是的， 我没见过。
注意：
1. 如果陈述句是行为动词， 且改动词没有助动词时，简短问句要用助动词do(does, did)。当 need用作实义动词时，也要用助动词do( does, did)。
2. 陈述句中包含有： no, little, never, few, hardly等词， 构成否定形式。 简短问句应用肯定形式。 There is little water in the jar, is there? 缸里几乎没有水，是吗？
3. 在陈述句中的主语，如果是： anybody, everyone, everybody, somebody, no one等时，简短问句的主语用they或he.
Anybody can do it, can’t they? 任何人都可以做这件事，不是吗？
Everyone knows his duty, doesn’t he? 每个人都知道自己的职责， 不是吗？
Nobody likes this novel, do they？ 没有人喜欢这本小说，对吗？
4. 在陈述句中的主语， 如果是 something, anything, nothing, everything等时， 简短问句的主语用it.
Everything is all right, isn’t it? 一切都正常，不是吗？
Nothing serious happened last week, did it? 上周没有发生什么严重的事情，对吗？
5. 反意疑问句的结构是： “祈使句 简短问句”时，不论祈使句是肯定句还是否定句，其 简短问句都用“will you?”
Sit down please, will you? 请坐吧，好吗？
Don’t smoke in the meeting room, will you? 别在会议室里吸烟，好吗？
6. 反意疑问句的结构是：“以let’s 开头 简短问句”时，其简短句用“shall we?”
It’s a fine day. Let’s go skating, shall we? 天气很好，我们去滑冰好吗？
Let’s not watch TV before supper, shall we? 咱们在晚饭前别看电视， 好吗？
7. 当主语部分是I think(suppose, expect, believe, imagine, guess) 从句时, 简短问句和从句的人称，时态保持一致。
I think chickens can swim, can’t they? 我认为鸡会游泳，不是吗？
I believe Lucy is a good girl, isn’t she? 我认为露西是个好女孩，不是吗 ?
