如使用这种方式交学费，储蓄卡里的余额或信用卡的额度必须大于等于需交学费的金额，否则缴费就会不成功。缴费不成功的另一个原因是部分国内银行的外币信用卡不支持学校支付系统或外币网上支付设置有限制，例如工商银行的双币信用卡不支持约克大学的在线支付系统，因此建议学生在国内办理信用卡之前向银行咨询清楚
