具体看车型。多数高铁列车的每个车厢有前门和后门，此时会遵循前门下车，后门上车的规定。也有个别其它型号列车的每个车厢只有一个车门，则乘客需遵循先下后上的原则。高铁列车一般指高速列车，其最高行驶速度一般要达到200km/h之上。
高速列车的优点：快捷舒适、平稳安全、节能环保。主要缺点：全车造价昂贵、维护成本很高、技术难度极大、基本依赖电力、对铁路系统的要求苛刻。
我国目前的高速列车有和谐号CRH系列、复兴号CR系列、上海磁悬浮列车。
